# Word Editor vs InkSpace

Word Editor and InkSpace both sit at 4.7 stars, but that hides the real split: 100% of InkSpace's written reviews are positive against 33% of Word Editor's. Word Editor's advantage is ratings volume (1.4K vs 10) and monetization model (free with in-app purchases vs paid). On price, rating, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Word Editor sells 13 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month and InkSpace sells 6 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.7 for Word Editor against 4.6 for InkSpace. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Word Editor has 1.4K ratings behind it against 10, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 33% of Word Editor's written reviews are positive against 100% of InkSpace's.

Word Editor ships an update fortnightly, InkSpace every 10 days. The most recent releases landed on October 17, 2026 and October 8, 2026 respectively.
