# Word Editor vs Formms

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Formms at 100% against Word Editor's 34%. Formms also leads on update cadence (every 3 days vs fortnightly) and rating (5.0 vs 4.7). Word Editor's advantage is ratings volume (1.5K vs 4) and chart position (#132 vs unranked). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Word Editor sells 13 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month and Formms sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $12.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Formms holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Word Editor has 1.5K ratings behind it against 4, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 34% of Word Editor's written reviews are positive against 100% of Formms's.

Word Editor ships an update fortnightly, Formms every 3 days. The most recent releases landed on October 30, 2026 and October 31, 2026 respectively.
