# Starcrossed vs FRQNCY.

The clearest difference is review sentiment: FRQNCY. at 72% against Starcrossed's 29%. Starcrossed's advantage is monetization model (free with in-app purchases vs subscription) and rating (4.8 vs 4.3). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Starcrossed sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $5.99 per 7 days and FRQNCY. sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $39.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Starcrossed holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Starcrossed has 5.2K ratings behind it against 139, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 29% of Starcrossed's written reviews are positive against 72% of FRQNCY.'s, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Starcrossed ships an update every 5 days, FRQNCY. every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 30, 2026 and October 31, 2026 respectively.
