# Lifetime vs Lachlan

Lifetime and Lachlan both sit at 5.0 stars, but that hides the real split: 100% of Lachlan's written reviews are positive against 25% of Lifetime's. Lifetime's advantage is monetization model (freemium vs subscription) and update cadence (every 5 days vs every 11 days). On price, rating, ratings volume and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Lifetime sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month and Lachlan sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $7.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 5.0 for Lifetime against 5.0 for Lachlan. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 5 and 7 respectively. Written reviews are what separate them: 25% of Lifetime's written reviews are positive against 100% of Lachlan's.

Lifetime ships an update every 5 days, Lachlan every 11 days. The most recent releases landed on October 1, 2026 and September 30, 2026 respectively.
