# Parrot vs Yabberoo

The clearest difference is monetization model: Yabberoo at free with in-app purchases against Parrot's subscription. Yabberoo also leads on ads (none vs shown) and rating (5.0 vs 4.7). Parrot's advantage is ratings volume (18K vs 2) and chart position (#67 vs unranked). On price, in-app purchases, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Parrot sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $5.99 per 7 days and Yabberoo sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Yabberoo holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Parrot has 18K ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Parrot ships an update every 6 days, Yabberoo every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 28, 2026 and October 15, 2026 respectively.
