# Parrot vs FlashStacks

Parrot and FlashStacks both sit at 4.7 stars, but that hides the real split: 100% of FlashStacks's written reviews are positive against 45% of Parrot's. FlashStacks also leads on monetization model (freemium vs subscription) and ads (none vs shown). Parrot's advantage is ratings volume (18K vs 7) and chart position (#40 vs unranked). On price, rating, update cadence and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Parrot sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $5.99 per 7 days and FlashStacks sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.7 for Parrot against 4.6 for FlashStacks. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Parrot has 18K ratings behind it against 7, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 45% of Parrot's written reviews are positive against 100% of FlashStacks's.

Parrot ships an update weekly, FlashStacks every 8 days. The most recent releases landed on November 4, 2026 and October 31, 2026 respectively.
