# Parrot vs ChitChat

The clearest difference is review sentiment: ChitChat at 100% against Parrot's 45%. ChitChat also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 10) and ads (none vs shown). Parrot's advantage is ratings volume (19K vs 8) and chart position (#57 vs unranked). On price, update cadence, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Parrot sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $5.99 per 7 days. ChitChat asks for nothing beyond the download.

ChitChat holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Parrot has 19K ratings behind it against 8, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 45% of Parrot's written reviews are positive against 100% of ChitChat's.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly weekly. The most recent releases landed on November 8, 2026 and November 5, 2026 respectively.
