# Parrot vs Mookti

The clearest difference is monetization model: Mookti at free with in-app purchases against Parrot's subscription. Mookti also leads on ads (none vs shown) and rating (5.0 vs 4.7). Parrot's advantage is ratings volume (18K vs 3) and update cadence (weekly vs every 3 weeks). On price, in-app purchases and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Parrot sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $5.99 per 7 days and Mookti sells 7 in-app purchases, starting at $5.00 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Mookti holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Parrot has 18K ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Parrot ships an update weekly, Mookti every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on November 1, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
