# DocB vs Taste

The clearest difference is rating: Taste at 5.0 against DocB's 1.0. Taste also leads on ratings volume (6 vs 1). DocB's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 9) and device support (4 vs 1). On price, update cadence, ads and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Taste sells 9 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month. DocB asks for nothing beyond the download.

Taste holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 1.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Taste has 6 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

DocB ships an update every 4 days, Taste every 3 days. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 28, 2026 respectively.
