Answer in the moment. Ryan's Voice is an AAC (augmentative and alternative communication) app for teenagers and adults who have the words but can't rely on speech. It listens to the conversation and offers replies to what was just said, with more than 1,100 ready-made phrases, text to speech, Say More for your own words, and Quick SOS one tap away. WHO IT'S FOR Nonverbal, nonspeaking and minimally speaking people, including those with autism, apraxia of speech, aphasia after a stroke, motor neurone disease (MND/ALS), cerebral palsy or brain injury. Built by a family for their son, Ryan, and shaped by an independent speech pathologist review. REPLIES THAT FOLLOW THE CONVERSATION (Smart Voice) • Six reply choices to what was just said: agree, disagree, set a boundary, ask a question, or take a moment. Nothing is said until you choose. • Everyday conversation understood: greetings, compliments, good news, invitations, opinions, "How are you today?", "What's wrong?" and more. • Say More: starters and words that follow what you were asked. Find any starter in a few letters, with your most-used starters first. • Start Talking: open a conversation yourself. • Edit any reply before it's spoken. • "Did they say…?": when it isn't sure what was said, it asks, and Fix lets you pick or type the right words. • Snap & Speak: photograph a menu, then order in your own words. FREE FOR EVERYONE, NO SUBSCRIPTION NEEDED • Quick SOS: urgent needs, a pain body map with a 0–10 scale, and feeling unwell. Its follow-up replies stay free, because emergencies are never behind a paywall. • More than 1,100 phrases for real situations, in adult language. • Type anything and speak it aloud. • My Phrases: your own phrases and favourites. • The Symbol board: picture replies, with its own Say More. • Yes, No, Help and Wait, always one tap away. BUILT FOR MOTOR PLANNING Large, well-spaced buttons with haptic feedback, adjustable button size, and layouts for iPhone and iPad in portrait and landscape. A short welcome tour shows how it works. FOR SPEECH PATHOLOGISTS AND FAMILIES • Share a session log as a PDF or spreadsheet, after you review it. • Choose which pages appear on Home. • Keep favourite replies on every reply page. PRIVATE BY DESIGN • No account. • Speech recognition and conversation understanding happen on your device. • Ryan's Voice collects no personal data and has no advertising or third-party analytics. • Core communication works offline. • Location and directions are optional and stay off until you turn them on in Settings. ACCESSIBILITY VoiceOver, Switch Control, Dynamic Type, Dark Mode and Assistive Access. BUILT WITH DIGNITY A clean, adult design with no cartoons. Being nonspeaking doesn't mean having less to say. SMART VOICE: PLANS AND TERMS • Smart Voice is a monthly or yearly auto-renewing subscription. New subscribers get the first 2 months free (one free trial per person). • The App Store shows your local price before you confirm. • Payment is charged to your Apple Account when the free trial ends. The subscription then renews automatically unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period, and your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the period ends. • You can manage or cancel at any time in your Apple Account settings. • Smart Voice Lifetime is no longer sold. If you bought it, it stays yours. • If you first downloaded Ryan's Voice before version 3.2, the conversation features you already had stay free.
