# Splodge vs Science Libs

The clearest difference is update cadence: Science Libs at every 9 days against Splodge's every 3 weeks. Science Libs also leads on iOS requirement (13.4 vs 16.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Splodge sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month and Science Libs sells 4 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Splodge ships an update every 3 weeks, Science Libs every 9 days. The most recent releases landed on October 1, 2026 and September 18, 2026 respectively.
