# Formula Widgets vs Formula Live Pulse

The clearest difference is rating: Formula Widgets at 4.5 against Formula Live Pulse's 4.1. Formula Live Pulse's advantage is update cadence (weekly vs every 6 weeks) and review sentiment (71% vs 50%). On price, ratings volume, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Formula Widgets sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $29.99 per year and Formula Live Pulse sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Formula Widgets holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 4.1. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 6 and 13 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 50% of Formula Widgets's written reviews are positive against 71% of Formula Live Pulse's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Formula Widgets ships an update every 6 weeks, Formula Live Pulse weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 5, 2026 and October 14, 2026 respectively.
