# White Screen vs Monstra

The clearest difference is rating: Monstra at 5.0 against White Screen's 4.6. Monstra also leads on iOS requirement (15.0 vs 18.0). White Screen's advantage is ratings volume (200 vs 1). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. White Screen sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Monstra sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $19.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Monstra holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: White Screen has 200 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

White Screen ships an update monthly, Monstra every 5 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 22, 2026 respectively.
