# Quick Capture vs Excerpt

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Excerpt at none against Quick Capture's 1. Excerpt also leads on device support (3 vs 1). Quick Capture's advantage is update cadence (every 10 days vs every 3 months) and iOS requirement (17.6 vs 26.0). On price and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Quick Capture sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Excerpt asks for nothing beyond the download.

Quick Capture ships an update every 10 days, Excerpt every 3 months. The most recent releases landed on October 7, 2026 and October 3, 2026 respectively.
