# Scan It vs Doc Scanner

The clearest difference is ads: Scan It at none against Doc Scanner's shown. Scan It also leads on ratings volume (265 vs 2) and update cadence (weekly vs every 3 weeks). Doc Scanner's advantage is rating (5.0 vs 4.6). On price, in-app purchases, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Scan It sells 15 in-app purchases, starting at $7.99 per 7 days and Doc Scanner sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Doc Scanner holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Scan It has 265 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Scan It ships an update weekly, Doc Scanner every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 5, 2026 respectively.
