# Ophorus vs Dozent

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Ophorus at none against Dozent's 3. Ophorus also leads on ratings volume (22 vs 3) and iOS requirement (17.6 vs 26.2). Dozent's advantage is update cadence (every 9 days vs monthly). On price, rating, review sentiment and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Dozent sells 3 one-off in-app purchases. Ophorus asks for nothing beyond the download.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.9 for Ophorus against 5.0 for Dozent. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Ophorus has 22 ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews split almost evenly too, at 100% and 100% positive.

Ophorus ships an update monthly, Dozent every 9 days. Both last shipped on October 24, 2026.
