# RocNovel vs WaStory

The clearest difference is review sentiment: WaStory at 62% against RocNovel's 12%. WaStory also leads on rating (4.1 vs 1.6) and ads (none vs shown). RocNovel's advantage is chart position (#142 vs unranked). On price, update cadence, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. RocNovel sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $14.99 per 7 days and WaStory sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $24.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

WaStory holds the better App Store score, 4.1 against 1.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: WaStory has 1K ratings behind it against 48, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 12% of RocNovel's written reviews are positive against 62% of WaStory's.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly every 3 weeks. Both last shipped on November 4, 2026.
