# Metro Pulse vs Pack

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Pack at 100% against Metro Pulse's 22%. Pack also leads on rating (5.0 vs 2.7). Metro Pulse's advantage is update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 3 months) and ratings volume (128 vs 5). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Pack holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 2.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Metro Pulse has 128 ratings behind it against 5, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 22% of Metro Pulse's written reviews are positive against 100% of Pack's.

Metro Pulse ships an update every 2 weeks, Pack every 3 months. The most recent releases landed on October 30, 2026 and October 28, 2026 respectively.
