# Days Until vs BoringNote

The clearest difference is monetization model: BoringNote at free against Days Until's free with in-app purchases. BoringNote also leads on update cadence (every 5 days vs fortnightly). Days Until's advantage is iOS requirement (13.0 vs 18.6). On price, review sentiment, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Days Until sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month and BoringNote sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Days Until ships an update fortnightly, BoringNote every 5 days. The most recent releases landed on October 6, 2026 and September 27, 2026 respectively.
