# BlockGraver vs VCMC

The clearest difference is ads: BlockGraver at none against VCMC's shown. BlockGraver also leads on review sentiment (78% vs 50%) and monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases). VCMC's advantage is update cadence (every 9 days vs every 6 weeks) and ratings volume (203 vs 26). On price, rating, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. BlockGraver sells 5 one-off in-app purchases and VCMC sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.4 for BlockGraver against 4.4 for VCMC. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: VCMC has 203 ratings behind it against 26, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 78% of BlockGraver's written reviews are positive against 50% of VCMC's.

BlockGraver ships an update every 6 weeks, VCMC every 9 days. The most recent releases landed on November 4, 2026 and November 5, 2026 respectively.
