# Animezilla vs Anime Rift

The clearest difference is rating: Anime Rift at 3.9 against Animezilla's 2.4. Anime Rift also leads on ads (none vs shown) and update cadence (every 5 days vs every 3 months). Animezilla's advantage is review sentiment (43% vs 28%). On price, in-app purchases, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Animezilla sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month and Anime Rift sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Anime Rift holds the better App Store score, 3.9 against 2.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Anime Rift has 764 ratings behind it against 145, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 43% of Animezilla's written reviews are positive against 28% of Anime Rift's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Animezilla ships an update every 3 months, Anime Rift every 5 days. The most recent releases landed on October 30, 2026 and November 5, 2026 respectively.
