# RiseGuide vs MyHistory

The clearest difference is review sentiment: RiseGuide at 85% against MyHistory's 32%. RiseGuide also leads on update cadence (every 4 days vs every 2 months) and ratings volume (20K vs 244). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. RiseGuide sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per 7 days and MyHistory sells 2 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

RiseGuide holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 4.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: RiseGuide has 20K ratings behind it against 244, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 85% of RiseGuide's written reviews are positive against 32% of MyHistory's.

RiseGuide ships an update every 4 days, MyHistory every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on November 4, 2026 and October 30, 2026 respectively.
