# Wick vs NoteHive

Wick and NoteHive both sit at 4.2 stars, but that hides the real split: 100% of NoteHive's written reviews are positive against 63% of Wick's. Wick's advantage is monetization model (free vs freemium) and ratings volume (74 vs 7). On price, rating, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Wick sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month and NoteHive sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $6.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.2 for Wick against 4.1 for NoteHive. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Wick has 74 ratings behind it against 7, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 63% of Wick's written reviews are positive against 100% of NoteHive's.

Wick ships an update every 8 days, NoteHive weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 17, 2026 and October 9, 2026 respectively.
