# Wick vs EtchNote

The clearest difference is rating: EtchNote at 5.0 against Wick's 4.2. EtchNote also leads on review sentiment (100% vs 63%). Wick's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and monetization model (free vs freemium). On price, update cadence and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Wick sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month and EtchNote sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $12.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

EtchNote holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.2. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Wick has 74 ratings behind it against 6, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 63% of Wick's written reviews are positive against 100% of EtchNote's.

Wick ships an update every 8 days, EtchNote weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 9, 2026 respectively.
