The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Select Events Basketball at none against Prep Network's 10. Select Events Basketball also leads on ratings volume (1.8K vs 4) and iOS requirement (12.4 vs 15.1). Prep Network's advantage is update cadence (every 5 days vs every 2 months). On price, rating, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Prep Network sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $17.99 per month. Select Events Basketball asks for nothing beyond the download.

Prep Network holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Select Events Basketball has 1.8K ratings behind it against 4, so its average is the more settled of the two.
