# Image Converter & Compressor vs Failnote

The clearest difference is update cadence: Image Converter & Compressor at every 2 months against Failnote's every 12 months. Failnote's advantage is device support (3 vs 1) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 17). On price, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Image Converter & Compressor sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Failnote sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Image Converter & Compressor ships an update every 2 months, Failnote every 12 months. The most recent releases landed on October 11, 2026 and October 5, 2026 respectively.
