# Lean AI vs Last Calorie

The clearest difference is rating: Lean AI at 4.7 against Last Calorie's 4.4. Lean AI also leads on ratings volume (86 vs 8). On price, review sentiment, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Lean AI sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per 7 days and Last Calorie sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Lean AI holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Lean AI has 86 ratings behind it against 8, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 75% of Lean AI's written reviews are positive against 80% of Last Calorie's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly every 3 days. The most recent releases landed on October 30, 2026 and November 4, 2026 respectively.
