# Hivemind vs Fluentera

The clearest difference is monetization model: Fluentera at freemium against Hivemind's subscription. Fluentera also leads on ads (none vs shown) and rating (5.0 vs 4.7). Hivemind's advantage is ratings volume (13 vs 1). On price, update cadence, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Hivemind sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per 7 days and Fluentera sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Fluentera holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Hivemind has 13 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Hivemind ships an update weekly, Fluentera every 9 days. The most recent releases landed on October 14, 2026 and October 9, 2026 respectively.
