# popchord vs Sequincer

The clearest difference is rating: popchord at 5.0 against Sequincer's 4.6. Sequincer's advantage is update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 3 months) and ratings volume (17 vs 1). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. popchord sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per year and Sequincer sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

popchord holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Sequincer has 17 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

popchord ships an update every 3 months, Sequincer every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on September 22, 2026 and October 25, 2026 respectively.
