# Key vs Verivo

The clearest difference is rating: Key at 5.0 against Verivo's 4.2. Key also leads on update cadence (every 3 days vs every 5 months) and iOS requirement (12.0 vs 14.0). Verivo's advantage is ratings volume (54 vs 2). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Key sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days and Verivo sells 7 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Key holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.2. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Verivo has 54 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Key ships an update every 3 days, Verivo every 5 months. The most recent releases landed on October 8, 2026 and October 5, 2026 respectively.
