# Key vs QR Code Reader

The clearest difference is ads: QR Code Reader at none against Key's shown. QR Code Reader also leads on ratings volume (34 vs 2). Key's advantage is rating (5.0 vs 4.6) and iOS requirement (12.0 vs 16.0). On price, in-app purchases, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Key sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days and QR Code Reader sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $6.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Key holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: QR Code Reader has 34 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two.
