# Key vs Authenticator

The clearest difference is rating: Key at 5.0 against Authenticator's 4.5. Key also leads on iOS requirement (12.0 vs 16). Authenticator's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and ratings volume (8 vs 2). On price, update cadence, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Key sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days and Authenticator sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $6.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.
