# Polym vs aery

The clearest difference is ads: aery at none against Polym's shown. aery also leads on update cadence (every 4 days vs every 9 days). Polym's advantage is review sentiment (70% vs 50%) and iOS requirement (16.4 vs 18.0). On price, rating, ratings volume and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Polym sells 7 in-app purchases, starting at $7.99 per month and aery sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

aery holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.6. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 38 and 52 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 70% of Polym's written reviews are positive against 50% of aery's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Polym ships an update every 9 days, aery every 4 days. The most recent releases landed on November 4, 2026 and October 31, 2026 respectively.
