# PulsePacer vs RunBeat

The clearest difference is update cadence: RunBeat at every 5 days against PulsePacer's every 2 months. RunBeat also leads on ratings volume (13 vs 2). On price, rating, review sentiment and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. PulsePacer sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per year and RunBeat sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $7.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 5.0 for PulsePacer against 4.9 for RunBeat. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: RunBeat has 13 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews split almost evenly too, at 100% and 100% positive.

PulsePacer ships an update every 2 months, RunBeat every 5 days. The most recent releases landed on September 23, 2026 and October 17, 2026 respectively.
