# B vs Dot

The clearest difference is monetization model: B at free with in-app purchases against Dot's subscription. Dot's advantage is update cadence (every 6 days vs every 2 months). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. B sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month and Dot sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $12.99 per year. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

B ships an update every 2 months, Dot every 6 days. The most recent releases landed on October 30, 2026 and October 31, 2026 respectively.
