# Ammo Box vs Real Dots

The clearest difference is rating: Real Dots at 5.0 against Ammo Box's 4.0. Real Dots also leads on update cadence (every 2 days vs every 5 weeks) and iOS requirement (15.0 vs 18.4). Ammo Box's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and ratings volume (28 vs 2). On price, in-app purchases, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Ammo Box sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month and Real Dots sells 2 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Real Dots holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Ammo Box has 28 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Ammo Box ships an update every 5 weeks, Real Dots every 2 days. The most recent releases landed on October 19, 2026 and October 25, 2026 respectively.
