# Studyflash vs Retain Cards

The clearest difference is ratings volume: Retain Cards at 419 against Studyflash's 64. On price, rating, review sentiment and update cadence there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Studyflash sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $14.99 per month and Retain Cards sells 14 in-app purchases, starting at $12.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.1 for Studyflash against 4.2 for Retain Cards. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Retain Cards has 419 ratings behind it against 64, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 44% of Studyflash's written reviews are positive against 50% of Retain Cards's.
