# Element vs HVW

Element and HVW both sit at 4.5 stars, but that hides the real split: 100% of HVW's written reviews are positive against 24% of Element's. HVW also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 19) and ads (none vs shown). Element's advantage is ratings volume (1.4K vs 5) and chart position (#116 vs unranked). On price and rating there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Element sells 15 in-app purchases, starting at $4.95 per month. HVW asks for nothing beyond the download.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.5 for Element against 4.4 for HVW. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Element has 1.4K ratings behind it against 5, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 24% of Element's written reviews are positive against 100% of HVW's.
