# InspireNote vs PicPDF

The clearest difference is monetization model: InspireNote at free with in-app purchases against PicPDF's subscription. InspireNote also leads on update cadence (every 8 days vs every 2 months). PicPDF's advantage is ratings volume (40 vs 3). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. InspireNote sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and PicPDF sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per year. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 5.0 for InspireNote against 5.0 for PicPDF. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: PicPDF has 40 ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two.

InspireNote ships an update every 8 days, PicPDF every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 21, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
