# Foundation vs Kingshot

Foundation and Kingshot both sit at 4.6 stars, but that hides the real split: 62% of Foundation's written reviews are positive against 24% of Kingshot's. Foundation also leads on ads (none vs shown) and update cadence (fortnightly vs every 2 months). Kingshot's advantage is ratings volume (234K vs 9.1K) and chart position (#2 vs #15). On price, rating, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Foundation sells 9 one-off in-app purchases and Kingshot sells 15 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.6 for Foundation against 4.6 for Kingshot. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Kingshot has 234K ratings behind it against 9.1K, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 62% of Foundation's written reviews are positive against 24% of Kingshot's.

Foundation ships an update fortnightly, Kingshot every 2 months. Both last shipped on October 30, 2026.
