# Speedometer vs Dukes App

Speedometer and Dukes App both sit at 4.5 stars, but that hides the real split: 73% of Dukes App's written reviews are positive against 25% of Speedometer's. Dukes App also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 3) and update cadence (every 5 days vs every 2 months). Speedometer's advantage is device support (3 vs 1) and ratings volume (58 vs 19). On price, rating and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Speedometer sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $12.99 per 7 days. Dukes App asks for nothing beyond the download.

Speedometer holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 4.3. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 58 and 19 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 25% of Speedometer's written reviews are positive against 73% of Dukes App's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Speedometer ships an update every 2 months, Dukes App every 5 days. The most recent releases landed on October 21, 2026 and October 30, 2026 respectively.
