# Speedometer vs Fast & Curios

The clearest difference is ads: Speedometer at none against Fast & Curios's shown. Speedometer also leads on iOS requirement (13.0 vs 17.0). Fast & Curios's advantage is update cadence (every 4 weeks vs every 2 months). On price, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Speedometer sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $12.99 per 7 days and Fast & Curios sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Speedometer ships an update every 2 months, Fast & Curios every 4 weeks. The most recent releases landed on November 4, 2026 and October 31, 2026 respectively.
