# Angler U vs BayHawk

The clearest difference is update cadence: BayHawk at every 3 days against Angler U's monthly. BayHawk also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.7). Angler U's advantage is ratings volume (12 vs 1) and iOS requirement (15.0 vs 17.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Angler U sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $25.99 per month and BayHawk sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $29.99 per year. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

BayHawk holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Angler U has 12 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Angler U ships an update monthly, BayHawk every 3 days. The most recent releases landed on October 2, 2026 and September 25, 2026 respectively.
