# Pixel Presidency vs Civilization Wars

The clearest difference is rating: Civilization Wars at 4.5 against Pixel Presidency's 3.9. Civilization Wars also leads on ratings volume (257 vs 38). Pixel Presidency's advantage is update cadence (every 2 days vs weekly) and review sentiment (76% vs 66%). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Pixel Presidency sells 5 one-off in-app purchases and Civilization Wars sells 27 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Civilization Wars holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 3.9. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Civilization Wars has 257 ratings behind it against 38, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 76% of Pixel Presidency's written reviews are positive against 66% of Civilization Wars's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Pixel Presidency ships an update every 2 days, Civilization Wars weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 20, 2026 and October 22, 2026 respectively.
