# UltraText vs LiveWire

The clearest difference is update cadence: LiveWire at every 2 weeks against UltraText's monthly. LiveWire also leads on iOS requirement (15.1 vs 18.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

UltraText ships an update monthly, LiveWire every 2 weeks. Both last shipped on October 8, 2026.
