# QR8 vs QR

The clearest difference is ads: QR8 at none against QR's shown. QR's advantage is update cadence (daily vs monthly). On price, in-app purchases, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. QR8 sells 7 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month and QR sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

QR8 ships an update monthly, QR daily. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 15, 2026 respectively.
