# WPC Events vs ECC Association

The clearest difference is update cadence: ECC Association at every 3 months against WPC Events's every 12 months. ECC Association also leads on iOS requirement (15.1 vs 17.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

WPC Events ships an update every 12 months, ECC Association every 3 months. The most recent releases landed on September 15, 2026 and October 5, 2026 respectively.
