# Satellite Map vs Satellite Finder

The clearest difference is rating: Satellite Map at 4.3 against Satellite Finder's 4.1. Satellite Map also leads on ratings volume (171 vs 33). Satellite Finder's advantage is iOS requirement (15.0 vs 17.0). On price, review sentiment, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Satellite Map sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $5.99 per 7 days and Satellite Finder sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $6.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Satellite Map holds the better App Store score, 4.3 against 4.1. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Satellite Map has 171 ratings behind it against 33, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 40% of Satellite Map's written reviews are positive against 42% of Satellite Finder's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Satellite Map ships an update every 3 weeks, Satellite Finder every 2 weeks. Both last shipped on October 25, 2026.
