# Novel Generator vs PlotDrip

The clearest difference is rating: PlotDrip at 5.0 against Novel Generator's 4.0. PlotDrip also leads on update cadence (every 5 days vs every 3 weeks). Novel Generator's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and ratings volume (11 vs 1). On price, in-app purchases, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Novel Generator sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per 7 days and PlotDrip sells 9 in-app purchases, starting at $5.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

PlotDrip holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Novel Generator has 11 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Novel Generator ships an update every 3 weeks, PlotDrip every 5 days. The most recent releases landed on October 3, 2026 and October 2, 2026 respectively.
