# RecordScreenKit vs SelectTranslate

The clearest difference is ads: SelectTranslate at none against RecordScreenKit's shown. SelectTranslate also leads on device support (4 vs 2). RecordScreenKit's advantage is update cadence (weekly vs every 3 weeks). On price, in-app purchases and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. RecordScreenKit sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $19.99 per 7 days and SelectTranslate sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $6.00 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

RecordScreenKit ships an update weekly, SelectTranslate every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 16, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
